Description
Our friends from behäppi in Estonia have expanded their series of challenging wooden puzzles with these wonderful new planet puzzles.
So if you're fascinated by the galaxy, the solar system, or the planets, this one is definitely for you!
Dark, cold and whipped by supersonic winds, ice giant Neptune is the eighth and most distant major planet in our solar system. Neptune is the only planet not visible to the naked eye. It was the first planet located through mathematical calculations, rather than by telescope. Using predictions made by Urbain Le Verrier, Johann Galle discovered the planet in 1846. In 2011 Neptune completed its first 165-year orbit since its first discovery. With a radius of 24 622 kilometers, Neptune is about four times wider than Earth. One day on Neptune takes about 16 hours. Neptune makes a complete orbit around the Sun (a year in Neptunian time) in about 165 Earth years (60 190 Earth days). Neptune has 14 known moons. Neptune's largest moon Triton was discovered on October 10, 1846 by William Lassell, just 17 days after Johann Galle discovered the planet.
This 49-piece, 20-cm puzzle shows Neptune in stunning clarity. The image, provided by Nasa, is one of the clearest images of Neptune ever.
The difficulty level of this puzzle is high. Although the puzzle is challenging, the clear and high-quality image makes it a lot of fun to put this Neptune puzzle together.
