The founders of memobottle - their vision and mission
memobottle™ founders - Jesse Leeworthy and Jonathan Byrt - grew up together in a small coastal town south of Melbourne, Australia. Noticing an alarming number of plastic water bottles polluting local waterways and parks, they investigated the global impact of this problem. It turned out to be much worse than expected.
Human comfort is often the catalyst for environmental damage. In order to influence a positive change and effectively break people's habits regarding single-use beverage bottles, they realized that they had to offer a truly convenient, beautiful and sustainable alternative. What would find modern acceptance and stand the test of time? What design features are most common in our most popular products and accessories such as tablets, cell phones, e-readers, laptops and computer cases? And finally...why are our water bottles round?
