Helevtiq's story began in 2008 with a game about Switzerland. While the founder, Hadi Barkat, was preparing for a naturalization test, he experienced happy and instructive moments. He questioned his Swiss friends, but they knew less than they thought or claimed. Everyone had to laugh about it. And so the idea for the game came about. The 3000 copies, for whose production every cent was saved, sold within a month. Beyond all expectations! Helevtiq realised that people are passionate about learning - as long as it's fun and designed in an accessible way. The first game became a classic with over 30'000 copies sold in Switzerland alone. The success inspired Helevtiq and so they continued to create for Switzerland and beyond. Helevtiq designed new games. They came up with ideas for book titles. Helevtiq even developed design objects that are neither game nor book. Each of Helevtiq's titles is created from something authentic and not from a desire for markets. After Switzerland, they were curious if it was just a Swiss phenomenon. Helevtiq ventured into Belgium and the USA - and it worked there and in many other countries.
