How much are the shipping costs?
Within Germany, many orders are shipped free of charge. We charge a flat rate of €5.90 for the shipping of your order within Germany and shipping is free for you from an order value of €75.
The free shipping offer applies to standard shipping. The value of the goods after a possible return is decisive. If the value of the goods falls below €75 as a result of exercising your right of withdrawal, the shipping postage of €5.95 will be charged and offset against your refund for the return.
Bulky goods shipping costs of €19.95 may apply for individual items that exceed the standard package size. These will be calculated at check-out.

If you would like to return an item, send us an email to orders@charlesandmarie.com with the order number and information about which products you would like to return. Please pay for the return shipping - this of course does not apply to justified complaints.
A different delivery time is displayed

One metre for the desk where the charger sits right next to you.
USB-C Cord A1 at one metre charges at up to 100 watts and moves data at 480 megabits per second. The braided jacket is what separates it from the cable in the box: it does not twist, does not fray and holds its shape. One metre is the length for short runs, from a charger on the table to the notebook in front of it.
One metre or two?
One metre is enough when charger and device sit on the same surface: a desk with a UX1 beside it, a bedside table, a bag as a travel cable. Shorter also means less cable coiling up and getting in the way.
If the socket is behind the table or under the top, take two metres. A cable that is too short forces you to bring the device to the socket instead of the other way round.
Why a cable is allowed to cost something
The cable in the box is the first place manufacturers save money. It twists, frays where it meets the connector and goes stiff. The A1 is wrapped in a textile braid that prevents exactly that, and the connector housings carry the cable colour instead of standard black.
Then there is the output: 100 watts is the full step of USB Power Delivery. Many cheap cables cannot carry it and quietly limit charging without anyone noticing.
Charging and data
Up to 100 watts, enough for any USB-C notebook. Data transfer runs at 480 megabits per second under USB 2.0, which covers phone backups, keyboard, mouse and audio, but not fast external SSDs or driving a monitor over DisplayPort.
If you are looking for a cable for a display or a fast external drive, the A1 is not it. For charging and everyday use it is.
