The discovery of the sea by pre-historic men coincided with the discovery of tuna. It is perhaps the species that we have known longer and more transversally across the planet. Caught in the eastern and western parts of the Atlantic Ocean and in the southeastern Pacific, José Gourmet's tuna is a high nutritional food product.
Tuna fish would swim around all the time. One day, they decided to do a really good race. They swam, and swam, and swam, but none got to the end of the race. They are still looking for the finish line. They don’t know where it is!
José Gourmet - these are top-quality Portuguese canned fish.
Olive oil from some of the oldest trees in Portugal, brandy from Lourinhã, canned fish from the stocks off the Atlantic coast of Portugal. For this they chose popular classics, created some new ones and dressed them in beautiful clothes to present them to the world.
The outer cartons are more artwork than bland packaging and were designed by Portuguese artists and illustrators individually for each delicacy. The exterior design aptly corresponds with the quality of the contents.
The recipes blend the traditional with the innovative. The canned fish, caught from stocks off Portugal's Atlantic coast, are made using the pre-cooking method. In this process, the fish are pre-cooked before being canned. In the cans they then mature into real delicacies.
You can enjoy these fine morsels as a little treat between meals, at a picnic, as a hangover reserve or as a gift instead of flowers. Canned fish 2.0.
Gourmet idea: Vitello tonnato, veal escalops with tuna fish sauce
Blend 2 tuna tins and 1,5dl of mayonnaise, add 1 soup spoon of capers and 1 tea spoon of chopped parsley. Pan fry 8 veal escalops with a small portion of cooking oil, seasoned with sea salt. After the veal escalops are drained from the oil and have cooled down, top them with the tuna sauce and serve together with pasta or potatoes.

Store canned food in a cool, dry place. Store the rest, if not completely consumed, in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

How much are the shipping costs?
Within Germany, many orders are shipped free of charge. We charge a flat rate of €5.90 for the shipping of your order within Germany and shipping is free for you from an order value of €75.
The free shipping offer applies to standard shipping. The value of the goods after a possible return is decisive. If the value of the goods falls below €75 as a result of exercising your right of withdrawal, the shipping postage of €5.95 will be charged and offset against your refund for the return.
Bulky goods shipping costs of €19.95 may apply for individual items that exceed the standard package size. These will be calculated at check-out.

How can I return products?
You can return ordered products up to 30 days after receipt of your order. More information
If you would like to return an item, send us an email to orders@charlesandmarie.com with the order number and information about which products you would like to return. Please pay for the return shipping - this of course does not apply to justified complaints.
A different delivery time is displayed
If a product can only be pre-ordered or is not in stock, it cannot be delivered immediately. In this case, you can find the deviating delivery time on the product page. As soon as we have the product available and dispatched again, you will receive it within the delivery times stated above.
