Description

This is Areaware's Stone Catchall made from rainbow sandstone for keeping any surface attractively in order and designed by Kaja Dahl.

Place desk items, cosmetics, jewelry, or any personal accessories in its carved spaces - a small sculpture for everyday use. it has been designed by Kaja Dahl in collaboration with Areaware for the fourth edition of Norway x New York, a special project for Sight Unseen’s Offsite show.

Kaja Dahl specializes in the craftsmanship of design and explores the role that traditional and ancient crafts will have in the future. She creates and designs sculptural objects that speak to the beauty found in nature and life. Natural materials, sustainable design choices, and sensory aspects are main ingredients of Dahl's design practice.

Kaja Dahl studied classic art in Oslo, has a bachelor in product design from Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm, and a master in Design for luxury and craftsmanship from Ecal in Switzerland.
