Description
O.E.L. BERLIN
For everyone who knows that a great olive oil doesn’t accompany a dish – it transforms it.
Flüssiges Gold by O.E.L. Berlin is the olive oil you open and immediately understand. 100 % Koroneiki from Andania, Messenia, unfiltered and naturally cloudy, with 635 mg/kg polyphenols and flavours of freshly cut grass, green walnuts and citrus notes. The 500 ml glass bottle with dosing spout is the gift for everyone who never stops learning in the kitchen.
The Finishing Oil from Andania
Flüssiges Gold is enjoyed raw: drizzled over salads, poured over fresh bread, as a drizzle over grilled vegetables, or as the base for a dressing you won’t forget. Partner Ilias from the village of Andania in the Messenia region has been farming his groves organically for over 30 years – Bird Safe, hand harvesting, no mechanical night harvesting – and processes the Koroneiki olives directly in his own mill. The result is an unfiltered, naturally cloudy oil with a polyphenol content of 635 mg/kg – independently verified, and a flavour that cannot be fabricated.
O.E.L. Berlin has received twelve international awards: NYIOOC 2022, Athens IOOC 2022, London Olive Oil Awards Gold (Packaging) and Silver (Quality). The 500 ml glass bottle has a dosing spout for precise pouring and can be refilled using the 1-litre tin canister. As a gift for food lovers, cooks or people who want to treat themselves, Flüssiges Gold in the glass bottle makes an outstanding impression.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is Flüssiges Gold in the glass bottle the right gift for?
For everyone who doesn’t just pour “olive oil” over something but consciously wants to finish and elevate a dish. Flüssiges Gold is the gift for people who already have a good everyday oil – and are now ready to discover the finishing oil that takes a dish to another level. It works beautifully as a gift for food lovers, as a Christmas present for cooks, or as a special thank-you.
What is the difference between Flüssiges Gold and Sous Chef?
Flüssiges Gold is intense, aromatic, unfiltered and naturally cloudy – with 635 mg/kg polyphenols and aromas of freshly cut grass, green walnuts and citrus notes. It is the finishing oil drizzled cold over salads, dips and finished dishes. Sous Chef is mild and designed for the hot kitchen. Both come from Andania and are 100 % Koroneiki.
What does “naturally cloudy” mean and why is it a quality indicator?
Naturally cloudy means the oil was not filtered after cold extraction – it still contains fine suspended particles from the olive that carry subtle flavours and valuable compounds. Many less expensive oils are filtered to be shelf-stable longer and visually clearer – but polyphenols and aromas are lost in the process. Naturally cloudy is the most unchanged, most vibrant product directly from the mill.
What do 635 mg/kg polyphenols mean?
Polyphenols are secondary plant compounds with antioxidant properties – they are also responsible for the characteristic peppery finish and slight bitterness of good olive oils. With 635 mg/kg, Flüssiges Gold sits significantly above the average of commercially available olive oils. This figure is laboratory-verified and published on the O.E.L. website.
Can I refill the glass bottle later?
Yes – the 500 ml glass bottle has a dosing spout and is designed as a reusable container. The 1-litre tin canister (recycling rate 91.1 %) serves as the refill vessel. This saves packaging and offers a better cost-per-litre ratio over time.
Is Flüssiges Gold also suitable as a corporate gift?
Click on “Corporate Gifts” at the top of the menu – you will find all information about quantities, conditions and personal consultation there.
Where does Flüssiges Gold come from and who is behind it?
Behind Flüssiges Gold stands partner Ilias, an organic farmer from Andania, a small village in the Messenia region near Kalamata on the Peloponnese. Ilias has farmed his groves organically for over 30 years, harvests exclusively by hand (Bird Safe) and processes in his own on-site mill. Founders Simone and Clara personally accompany the harvest and production every year.
Why is bitterness in Flüssiges Gold not a defect?
Bitterness and the peppery finish are quality indicators in fresh, polyphenol-rich olive oil – many people confuse this with rancid, which is an actual defect. In Flüssiges Gold, this vibrancy comes from the high polyphenol content and immediate processing after harvest. An oil without this finish would signal that much of what makes it valuable has been lost.
