The AlarmDocks by Jonas Damon for Areaware have been presented for the first time at ICFF '11 in NYC and have been featured on almost E V E R Y design weblog since.
The all-wooden design of Jonas' dock recalls the classic design commonly seen in movies from the 70s. Remember those faux wood grain GE flip clocks that sat on every bedside table?
These humble clocks were made obsolete by fancy LED clocks and... more recently... by your mobile devices. Jonas Damon’s Alarm Dock allows your iPhone to read as an “alarm clock”, with an opening at back for routing your power supply.

Augmented by a flip clock app, this dock returns meaningful form to the sliver of a device that will wake you up. Of course, you could just use the phone app by itself, but where's the fun in that?
Just to clearify: The iPhone in the photo is not included... unfortunately! ;-)) ... and the dock does not have built-in electronics or speakers!
