Frequently asked questions
Who is the bauble a good gift for?
For anyone with a soft spot for Holland – after a holiday in Amsterdam, for friends with Dutch roots or as a small gift during Advent. The kissing couple also makes it a charming present for couples, for example for their first Christmas together.
What does the kissing couple motif mean?
The kissing couple in traditional dress and clogs is one of the best-known symbols of the Netherlands and a classic of Delft ceramics. Heinen Delfts Blauw chose it deliberately because it stands for Holland around the world.
Is the bauble hand-painted?
No. According to the manufacturer, the decoration is applied by transfer, not painted by hand. This keeps the bauble affordable, and the motif is equally crisp and complete on every piece.
Can it be combined with other ornaments?
Very well. Heinen Delfts Blauw recommends combining it with other Delft blue Christmas ornaments. Blue and white also look calm and elegant alongside silver or plain white baubles.
