How much are the shipping costs?
Within Germany, many orders are shipped free of charge. We charge a flat rate of €5.90 for the shipping of your order within Germany and shipping is free for you from an order value of €75.
The free shipping offer applies to standard shipping. The value of the goods after a possible return is decisive. If the value of the goods falls below €75 as a result of exercising your right of withdrawal, the shipping postage of €5.95 will be charged and offset against your refund for the return.
Bulky goods shipping costs of €19.95 may apply for individual items that exceed the standard package size. These will be calculated at check-out.

The Typeface Notebook Futura carries one of the most significant typefaces in printing history on its cover: Futura, designed 1927 by Paul Renner. Tomigaya Letterpress in Tokyo has individually hand-pressed it onto the cloth hardcover using vintage wooden type in 活版印刷 technique — deep, tactile, lasting. The result: an A6 hardcover notebook with 365 dot-grid pages that makes typographic history physically present.
The Typeface: Futura
Paul Renner designed Futura in 1927 in Munich — a rigorously geometric typeface built from circles, triangles and rectangles. It is the typographic manifesto of modernist design: no historical ornament, only pure form. Volkswagen, IKEA, Lego and Louis Vuitton have trusted it for decades. The Apollo 11 moon landing plaque was set in Futura: “Here men from the planet Earth first set foot upon the Moon.” Futura was literally in space.
Japanese Letterpress Craft: 活版印刷
Tomigaya Letterpress works from a small studio in the Tomigaya neighbourhood of Shibuya, Tokyo — run by Hosoyamada Design Office. 活版印刷 (kappan-insatsu), Japanese letterpress printing with movable type, is not archived here: it is practised daily. Each cover is pressed individually by hand using vintage wooden type blocks. The result is the impression — a visible, tactile indentation in the board that no digital printing can replicate. Slight variations between copies are the proof that human hands were involved.
The Interior
365 dot-grid pages, consecutively numbered — and the page numbers are typeset in the cover typeface: Bodoni, Gill Sans or Futura, consistently through to the last page. The interior is printed with RISO, a Japanese-developed printing method that produces warm, lightly textured pages. The paper is fountain-pen compatible. The hardcover is cloth-bound; the binding was produced by a long-established bookbindery in Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo. Two built-in ribbon bookmarks. An object you want to use every day.
