Description

The Tempo Pulse storm glass - with its egg-shaped design reminiscent of the heartbeat of life - is a glass object and weather station by 100percent from Japan that constantly changes as the liquid inside the glass crystallizes in response to daily fluctuations in temperature and air pressure.

A storm glass, also known as a FitzRoy storm glass (after Admiral Robert FitzRoy) or camphor glass, is a glass tube filled with water, ethanol, camphor, potassium nitrate and ammonium chloride, in which crystals occasionally grow in different shapes and dissolve again. It is claimed that these changes herald storms or bad weather fronts.

The base has a structure that can support the glass piece firmly and stably, and we also emphasize the design by creating an organic shape composed of surfaces to highlight the presence of the glass piece.

Just as the landscape changes with the seasons, you can enjoy the daily changing appearance of crystals with the TempoDrop series.

Material: Glass | Beech wood (Kiza) | Wooden base included

Note: This product is individually manufactured by experienced craftsmen and 100percent attaches great importance to quality. Since it is handmade, there may be slight deviations in shape and, due to the manufacturing process, bubbles or sun spots may appear on the glass.
