Chresten Sommer's designs should appeal to all genders and all ages. His designs follow several rules: they have to be simple, accentuate the aesthetics of wood and combine nature with sweet and childish expressions - and of course always be hand-turned.

It is crucial to him that his characters have the right proportions and the right expression. He is only satisfied when he feels that this is his best design so far. It has always been the craft, and using his hands, that attracted him. And it was the fascination with the craft that 15 years ago led him to make wooden designs as a hobby.

All later orders on working days, which only contain products that can be delivered immediately, will be dispatched on the following working day

Your order will be shipped via our partners DHL & UPS within Germany and the EU.

How much are the shipping costs?

Within Germany, many orders are shipped free of charge. We charge a flat rate of €5.90 for the shipping of your order within Germany and shipping is free for you from an order value of €75.

The free shipping offer applies to standard shipping. The value of the goods after a possible return is decisive. If the value of the goods falls below €75 as a result of exercising your right of withdrawal, the shipping postage of €5.95 will be charged and offset against your refund for the return.

Bulky goods shipping costs of €19.95 may apply for individual items that exceed the standard package size. These will be calculated at check-out.

If you would like to return an item, send us an email to orders@charlesandmarie.com with the order number and information about which products you would like to return. Please pay for the return shipping - this of course does not apply to justified complaints.

If a product can only be pre-ordered or is not in stock, it cannot be delivered immediately. In this case, you can find the deviating delivery time on the product page. As soon as we have the product available and dispatched again, you will receive it within the delivery times stated above.

Speedy is a decorative, small, wooden baby turtle and a beautiful home accessory - designed by Chresten Sommer for Spring Copenhagen.

Like all turtles, Speedy is easy to recognise by his round shell - but what’s really special about Speedy is that the top of his shell can be lifted.

Store small memories or goodies in the small bowl that hides underneath.

This charming turtle is full of personality and soul and is guaranteed to add a touch of warmth to your home. It was designed by Chresten Sommer, who is also behind many of Spring Copenhagen's other wooden animals.

The figure is made of FSC®-labelled oak and carbonised ash.

And... Speedy has a bigger companion. His name is Slowy and together they have a lot of fun...

Speedy is not a toy and is not to be used by children.
It is a unique handmade and hand-assembled product in wood and there may be some minor variations from product to product. Clean it with a damp cloth. For better finish and maintenance use beeswax occasionally on all our wooden products.

How fast is shipping and where is my order?

In general, all orders are processed on the same day. This means that you will be sent an order confirmation by email immediately after you have placed your order.

Orders received before 2:00 p.m. CET will be shipped the same working day if all the products ordered are in stock. Orders placed over the weekend will be processed and shipped the following Monday.

As soon as your order is dispatched and handed over to our logistics partner, you will receive tracking information via email via the DHL, DPD or UPS systems. You simply click on the tracking code in this email and you can immediately follow the status of your delivery.

Do you have a sold-out product with you? Delivery time pre-ordered? Well, such orders will be shipped as soon as the goods arrive back at our warehouse. Please note the delivery time indicated for the product.
