Description

BLOCK DESIGN · Colour Lab

A quiet moment in the evening – and a piece of glass that looks good even without smoke.

The Float incense holder by Block Design is a flat glass dish in lilac with a slender holder in orange, both handmade from borosilicate laboratory glass. At Ø 11.5 cm the dish is wide enough to catch all the ash from an incense stick – no crumbs on the shelf or bedside table. And when nothing is burning, it remains a small colour object in glass that catches the light.

Does the dish really catch all the ash?

That's what it's made for: the wide Ø 11.5 cm dish sits beneath the incense stick and collects the falling ash. With very long sticks, it's best not to place the holder right at the edge of a shelf.

Do standard incense sticks fit?

Yes, the slender stem holds standard incense sticks upright.

How do I clean the holder?

Simply rinse by hand with warm water. The maker explicitly recommends hand washing only, not the dishwasher.

Is the glass fragile?

Borosilicate is the heat-resistant glass used in laboratories. It's still glass, though – so please don't drop it.

Who is it a good gift for?

For anyone who likes lighting incense in the evening, enjoys yoga or meditation – or simply loves coloured glass objects. A small gift that won't get put away.
