Mussels have amazing nutritional properties. Remember that a steak or two is equivalent in protein to just over a dozen mussels. Inside the large, solid shell there is vitamin A, C, B-12, omega-3, zinc, selenium, phosphorus, sodium, and potassium. Other shellfish may even be more sought after. The mussel doesn't mind and waits in the great patience of its shell. If you didn't go for dinner yesterday or lunch today, it'll wait for your snack time, for a glass of beer or white wine, for a circle of friends, for lively conversation.

They spread out the red towel. The first to show off was the lobster, surrounded by crayfish. The spider crab twirled for attention and the crab went straight out to meet the fans. The clam and cockle rolled up in a mysterious dance step and introduced the cockle. Prawns and carabineers swept the crowd with charm. The mussels waited patiently for their turn, without vanity. They're fried! said the shellfish, smiling. Indeed they were fried! And very well fried: so all the guests stood up to applaud when the mussels came on stage.

Olive oil from some of the oldest trees in Portugal, brandy from Lourinhã, canned fish from the stocks off the Atlantic coast of Portugal. For this they chose popular classics, created some new ones and dressed them in beautiful clothes to present them to the world.

The outer cartons are more artwork than bland packaging and were designed by Portuguese artists and illustrators individually for each delicacy. The exterior design aptly corresponds with the quality of the contents.

The recipes blend the traditional with the innovative. The canned fish, caught from stocks off Portugal's Atlantic coast, are made using the pre-cooking method. In this process, the fish are pre-cooked before being canned. In the cans they then mature into real delicacies.

How much are the shipping costs?

Within Germany, many orders are shipped free of charge. We charge a flat rate of €5.90 for the shipping of your order within Germany and shipping is free for you from an order value of €59.

Bulky goods shipping costs of €19.95 may apply for individual items that exceed the standard package size. These will be calculated at check-out.

You can return ordered products up to 30 days after receipt of your order. More information

If you would like to return an item, send us an email to orders@charlesandmarie.com with the order number and information about which products you would like to return. Please pay for the return shipping - this of course does not apply to justified complaints.

How fast is shipping and where is my order?

In general, all orders are processed on the same day. This means that you will be sent an order confirmation by email immediately after you have placed your order.

Orders received before 2:00 p.m. CET will be shipped the same working day if all the products ordered are in stock. Orders placed over the weekend will be processed and shipped the following Monday.

As soon as your order is dispatched and handed over to our logistics partner, you will receive tracking information via email via the DHL, DPD or UPS systems. You simply click on the tracking code in this email and you can immediately follow the status of your delivery.
