Description

KARST  ·  BALLPOINT PEN

The pen that gets your notebook.

If you’re gifting a Karst notebook — or treating yourself to one — there’s one more thing that belongs with it: the right pen. The Stone Pen is built from the same calcium carbonate as Karst’s Stone Paper — cast into a completely different form. 14g, hexagonal body, matte finish. Swiss-made. In Black.

The Floating Ball® ink system dries on Stone Paper in 1–3 seconds (vs. 30+ for gel), writes up to 5,000 m, and delivers 200% richer ink density than standard ballpoints. Free from phthalates and harmful substances. Made in Switzerland.

Does the Stone Pen work on regular paper?

Yes. The Floating Ball® system is optimised for Stone Paper but writes smoothly on regular paper too, leaving a rich, clean line. Drying time is slightly longer than on Stone Paper.

How long does the refill last?

Up to 5,000 metres — equivalent to 25 fully written pages of Stone Paper with consistent ink intensity, confirmed through testing.

Can I pair the Stone Pen with a notebook as a gift?

Absolutely. The Stone Pen is the natural companion to any Karst notebook. Together, they make a complete writing system in one package — ideal for stationery lovers, design fans, and anyone who values quality. Find more combinations through the menu at charlesandmarie.de.

Is the Stone Pen sustainable?

It’s made with 60% calcium carbonate — no wood, no plastic as the primary material. Free from phthalates and harmful substances. Swiss-made to the highest standards.

The perfect complement to a Karst notebook — or a standalone choice for anyone who takes writing seriously.
