The Formel pendant is a minimalist ceiling lamp in a timeless design.

This is the black pendant lamp with 40 cm diameter. It also comes in 26 and 50 cm diameter.

Hans Due designed his Formel series in the 1970s. The idea came from the industry's simple lamps, known as cobbler's lamps, which consisted solely of a socket and a glass or metal shade.

Hans Due, who himself has a penchant for simple designs, wanted to design a lamp with the same simplicity which would fit into the private home - and Formel was his result.

Originally, it was intended solely as this pendant version, but together with the manufacturer, Hans Due saw that its potential was even greater, and this led to the creation of additional versions of the lamp.

With its cone-shaped design, the lamp spreads a good amount of light over areas where you want plenty of light in the room. You could, for example, use a top mirror bulb in the pendant lamp and create a pleasant light that doesn’t dazzle.

The Formel pendant is made of aluminium, which gives it a simple but distinctive appearance. It stands out for its calm design and exudes a timelessness that will fit into any home, season after season.

The Formel series has long been out of production, but recently Spring Copenhagen have recreated Hans Due's series so that it can once again adorn the home.

Care and Installation:
Wipe the surface of the shade with a dry cloth. Do not use any abrasive cleaning tools such as stiff brushes or stiff cloths. Never use strong cleaning agents such as white spirit, turpentine, household glass cleaner or cellulose thinners.

Your order will be shipped via our partners DHL & UPS within Germany and the EU.

How much are the shipping costs?

Within Germany, many orders are shipped free of charge. We charge a flat rate of €5.90 for the shipping of your order within Germany and shipping is free for you from an order value of €59.

Bulky goods shipping costs of €19.95 may apply for individual items that exceed the standard package size. These will be calculated at check-out.

How can I return products?

You can return ordered products up to 30 days after receipt of your order. More information

If you would like to return an item, send us an email to orders@charlesandmarie.com with the order number and information about which products you would like to return. Please pay for the return shipping - this of course does not apply to justified complaints.

A different delivery time is displayed
