Design Scissors Chroma – Stainless Steel · 21.6 cm | Craighill
The Cubebot is a wooden robot and 3D puzzle by David Weeks for Areaware — inspired by Japanese Shinto Kumi-ki puzzles. Made from solid beechwood, it can be bent into countless poses and works equally well as a desk sculpture or children's toy. At Charles & Marie you will find all sizes and wood types.
All Sizes & Variants
Cubebots come in four sizes: Micro (~7 cm), Small (~13 cm), Medium (~18 cm) and Giant (~38 cm). Each size is available in natural beech and Multi (coloured). The Micro is perfect as a desk companion or small gift, the Giant is a real statement piece for the shelf.
Design & Material
Designed by David Weeks, a New York designer known for his sculptural lamps and wooden objects. The Cubebot consists of solid beechwood cubes connected by elastic bands. Folded up it becomes a compact cube, unfolded a robot with movable limbs. The Multi variants are treated with non-toxic, water-based paints.
As a Gift
Cubebots are among the best-selling products at Charles & Marie — and the most popular gifts. For children aged 3+ as a toy, for adults as a desk ornament and stress reliever. The Micro Cubebot is the perfect small gift, a set of Natural and Multi looks great on any shelf.
