If you order our design products by 2 p.m., you will usually receive them within 1-2 working days.
All later orders on working days, which only contain products that can be delivered immediately, will be dispatched on the following working day

Your order will be shipped via our partners DHL & UPS within Germany and the EU.
How much are the shipping costs?
Within Germany, many orders are shipped free of charge. We charge a flat rate of €5.90 for the shipping of your order within Germany and shipping is free for you from an order value of €75.
The free shipping offer applies to standard shipping. The value of the goods after a possible return is decisive. If the value of the goods falls below €75 as a result of exercising your right of withdrawal, the shipping postage of €5.95 will be charged and offset against your refund for the return.
Bulky goods shipping costs of €19.95 may apply for individual items that exceed the standard package size. These will be calculated at check-out.

You can return ordered products up to 30 days after receipt of your order. More information
If you would like to return an item, send us an email to orders@charlesandmarie.com with the order number and information about which products you would like to return. Please pay for the return shipping - this of course does not apply to justified complaints.
A different delivery time is displayed
If a product can only be pre-ordered or is not in stock, it cannot be delivered immediately. In this case, you can find the deviating delivery time on the product page. As soon as we have the product available and dispatched again, you will receive it within the delivery times stated above.

Whooo's that out there hooting? It’s Clever the owl, hiding in the forest’s treetops.
The owl is a breathtaking creature, and one of its most remarkable features is its ability to turn its head almost all the way around - 270 degrees to be exact. And now the owl has been recreated as a lovely decoration, designed by Chresten Sommer. How clever!
The owl is a special animal
Owls have some very special features, and you can't help but notice their prominent eyes and stocky build. Most owls are awake at night and therefore have incredible night vision, allowing them to soar effortlessly after their prey in the dark.
Chresten Sommer has managed to beautifully capture the owl's unique appearance, bringing it to life in wood. Clever is a bit of a nocturnal animal himself, but we promise that he will stay quiet when the rest of the house is asleep.
The owl symbolises wisdom
Because owls are most often awake at night, they can be hard to spot, but now you can get up close to this impressive bird - both night and day - thanks to Chresten Sommer's whimsical interpretation.
The owl is an ancient symbol of wisdom and learning, and is therefore an obvious gift idea for one of your more intelligent acquaintances - or yourself.
Chresten Sommer's design is intended to appeal to both sexes of all ages. It must be simple, emphasize the raw aesthetics of wood and combine the natural with the childlike and sweet - and of course always be handmade. It is crucial to him that his figures have just the right proportions and expressions. He is only delighted when he feels it is his best design yet. It's always been the craft - hand-printed - that has drawn him. And it was this fascination with craftsmanship that led him to take up wood design as a hobby 15 years ago.
