Description

Baby Seal by Spring Copenhagen is the smallest of Chresten Sommer’s two seals. It is built for your windowsill or your dresser – maybe in company with Female Seal – and adds Nordic touch, nature and a bit of Danish design tradition to your living room, bedroom or kitchen.

The most exceptional thing about Baby Seal is that her head can be turned in every direction. It adds dynamic to the character, and you can change the expression continuously. That gives you the freedom to change the dynamic of your interior design. If Baby Seal is placed next to Female Seal it gives you unexpected possibilities for interaction between the two seals.

Baby Seal appeal to both kids and grownups – and they imitate wildlife on the Nordic hemisphere in an impressive manner. Put the two seals together and add a touch of Nordic living to your home.The two seals are the first designs in our collaboration with Chresten Sommer. He is trained boatbuilder but with his seals, he shows an exceptional eye for wood design that brings life and dynamic into your home.

In the Danish design tradition, many designers have used the wildlife of the Nordic countries as their inspiration. Chresten Sommer walks in their path but adds his own, distinct style and an exquisite skillset. When the two seals lie next to each other it is almost as watching real seals in the wild.

Female Seal and Baby Seal are first-rate examples of woodcraft that hits bull’s eye with proportions and expressions. It is a remake of wildlife when it is best. And in addition, it is high-quality, hand-made Danish design.

Chresten Sommer's designs should appeal to all genders and all ages. His designs follow several rules: they have to be simple, accentuate the aesthetics of wood and combine nature with sweet and childish expressions - and of course always be hand-turned.

It is crucial to him that his characters have the right proportions and the right expression. He is only satisfied when he feels that this is his best design so far. It has always been the craft, and using his hands, that attracted him. And it was the fascination with the craft that 15 years ago led him to make wooden designs as a hobby.

If you order our design products by 2 p.m., you will usually receive them within 1-2 working days.

All later orders on working days, which only contain products that can be delivered immediately, will be dispatched on the following working day

Europe - free shipping from 85 € order value

Products that can be delivered immediately will usually be with you within 4-6 working days.

Your order will be shipped via our partners DHL & UPS within Germany and the EU.

How much are the shipping costs?

Within Germany, many orders are shipped free of charge. We charge a flat rate of €5.90 for the shipping of your order within Germany and shipping is free for you from an order value of €59.

Bulky goods shipping costs of €19.95 may apply for individual items that exceed the standard package size. These will be calculated at check-out.

Shipping to most EU countries costs a flat rate of €9.90 and is free of charge for orders over €85. All shipping details

How can I return products?

You can return ordered products up to 30 days after receipt of your order. More information

If you would like to return an item, send us an email to orders@charlesandmarie.com with the order number and information about which products you would like to return. Please pay for the return shipping - this of course does not apply to justified complaints.

A different delivery time is displayed

If a product can only be pre-ordered or is not in stock, it cannot be delivered immediately. In this case, you can find the deviating delivery time on the product page. As soon as we have the product available and dispatched again, you will receive it within the delivery times stated above.

How fast is shipping and where is my order?

In general, all orders are processed on the same day. This means that you will be sent an order confirmation by email immediately after you have placed your order.

Orders received before 2:00 p.m. CET will be shipped the same working day if all the products ordered are in stock. Orders placed over the weekend will be processed and shipped the following Monday.

As soon as your order is dispatched and handed over to our logistics partner, you will receive tracking information via email via the DHL, DPD or UPS systems. You simply click on the tracking code in this email and you can immediately follow the status of your delivery.

Do you have a sold-out product with you? Delivery time pre-ordered? Well, such orders will be shipped as soon as the goods arrive back at our warehouse. Please note the delivery time indicated for the product.
