Alex Proba's creativity explores emotions as a celebration of color, pattern, and positive stimulation of the senses. The designer draws from the everyday: images, sounds, smells, and memories for her designs and artworks. Proba applies the same processes to her murals, bringing life and energy to walls and buildings by considering all angles and sides equally. Her first mural project, a 60-foot-long work for Dropbox's New York headquarters, has taken her practice into new areas. More recently, she has expanded her mural painting to unexpected surfaces, such as the bottom of swimming pools and tile collections.

Born in Germany into a family of doctors, Proba studied Spatial Design (architecture and graphic design) at the Academy of Fashion and Design Hamburg and Contextual Design (furniture and products) at the Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands. In 2011, Proba moved to New York, where she worked as an art director at Kickstarter and as a design director at Mother New York. In addition to a permanent position as an art director at NIKE, the designer's portfolio includes brand work for Mociun, Harry's and Google, among others.

Proba was recognized by Print Magazine for its annual New Visual Artists Review, which selects 20 international designers under the age of 30. Her clients include Vogue Italia, Lulu Lemon, Google, Nike, Target, AIGA, Dropbox, Harry's, Madewell, Rag & Bone, and many others. Her most popular and adventurous projects include the Marrow House Pool in Palm Springs, the Life In Vogue 2019 installation, the Google Basketball Court, and her AYR mural on Abbot Kinney in Venice.

Your order will be shipped via our partners DHL & UPS within Germany and the EU.

How much are the shipping costs?

Within Germany, many orders are shipped free of charge. We charge a flat rate of €5.90 for the shipping of your order within Germany and shipping is free for you from an order value of €75.

The free shipping offer applies to standard shipping. The value of the goods after a possible return is decisive. If the value of the goods falls below €75 as a result of exercising your right of withdrawal, the shipping postage of €5.95 will be charged and offset against your refund for the return.

Bulky goods shipping costs of €19.95 may apply for individual items that exceed the standard package size. These will be calculated at check-out.

Shipping to most EU countries costs a flat rate of €9.90. All shipping details

How can I return products?

You can return ordered products up to 30 days after receipt of your order. More information

If you would like to return an item, send us an email to orders@charlesandmarie.com with the order number and information about which products you would like to return. Please pay for the return shipping - this of course does not apply to justified complaints.

A different delivery time is displayed

If a product can only be pre-ordered or is not in stock, it cannot be delivered immediately. In this case, you can find the deviating delivery time on the product page. As soon as we have the product available and dispatched again, you will receive it within the delivery times stated above.

Soft and weighty all at once, it offers a comforting layer under either blue or gray skies. Comes in a reusable drawstring bag so you can tote it around wherever you like; to the couch, to bed, or on a picnic.

How fast is shipping and where is my order?

In general, all orders are processed on the same day. This means that you will be sent an order confirmation by email immediately after you have placed your order.

Orders received before 2:00 p.m. CET will be shipped the same working day if all the products ordered are in stock. Orders placed over the weekend will be processed and shipped the following Monday.

As soon as your order is dispatched and handed over to our logistics partner, you will receive tracking information via email via the DHL, DPD or UPS systems. You simply click on the tracking code in this email and you can immediately follow the status of your delivery.

Do you have a sold-out product with you? Delivery time pre-ordered? Well, such orders will be shipped as soon as the goods arrive back at our warehouse. Please note the delivery time indicated for the product.
