Everyday carry, or EDC for short, is the small set of things you keep on you every day: a knife, a light, keys, a pen, cards. The idea comes from the US, where it has grown into a culture of its own. What is everyday carry?
Everyday carry means the items a person reliably keeps on them every day. Instead of a random pile of stuff, you curate a handful that is well made and built to last. The term spread through US online communities in the early 2000s and has grown from a pure tool topic into a design movement.
The kit: what comes with you
